i’m having way too much fun with this..

thanks to twitter and michael nobbs this project caught my attention: Mail Me Art 2
Since i already had lots of fun with the concept while drawing for Minisprech and was looking for an excuse to get out my  Acryl colours..i made several mail-able pieces. This is one of them. Not knowing where to start i cut a square out of the cardboard and started from there. I guess because i had just seen several videos of Blu and the stopmotion magic, i drew some teeth. And the cardboard became a hungry lady. But the really interesting thing happened after that..

What if..there was this boy..and he was very ugly. His skin was spotted and pale. He wore the clothes that everybody else wore. And he never said anything interesting..BUT: What nobody would ever see was that his germs were pretty. So  unbelievably pretty that all the other germs came to the boys body to meet the pretty germs.

This weeks topic in illustration friday land is “drifter”.  So..have a sip of wine and take a long walk away from your usual route. Drift. Enjoy. I drew my old leather boots while waiting for the train and coloured them later with leftover red wine I can only recommend you do the same. With your own shoes of course.
