This weeks topic in illustration friday land is “drifter”.  So..have a sip of wine and take a long walk away from your usual route. Drift. Enjoy. I drew my old leather boots while waiting for the train and coloured them later with leftover red wine I can only recommend you do the same. With your own shoes of course.

This got me thinking… What are the basics ?
And what is the opposite of creativity – death? Stagnation ? Bureaucracy ? Repetition ? No movement, surely.. and passivity. Monotony?

Beethoven and me

It’s very different to draw in a concert. (Never was i so aware of the sound my pencil makes on the paper)
I usually get into the flow very easily (especially while drawing people), but also when listening to music (and doing nothing else). Not this time, since it was music AND drawing. So i stopped after three drawings.
Just didn’t seem right to divert my attention. I spent the rest of the concert enjoying the music and  looking at the handsome violinist. Classical music is such a treat.

I know the writing is too small, but since i have vowed to keep my perfectionism at bay, especially when i concerns private projects just for fun..well, you’ll have to guess what my handwriting says, live with the uncertainty or ask me.

I’d also like to say: i love you, Macbook. I do not want to be apart from you. ever.
